Founded in 1925, Abernethy & Spencer is the 

premier greenhouse & garden center in Loudoun County. 

We offer quality, organically grown herbs, vegetables, 

native flowers, trees and shrubs, including over 100 varieties 

of trees and 200 varieties of shrubs, over 700 varieties 

of perennials and countless annuals. 

The grounds also feature an expansive collection 

of planters, statuary, birdbaths and fountains; 

a Virginia native greenhouse; a houseplant & tropical greenhouse; a native-planted walking trail; a multimedia classroom and events space; Lola’s, an on-site coffee cart; and The Conservatory, a gift and garden lifestyle shop, cafe, library and orchidarium in an 

exquisitely restored historical greenhouse.
